Technological advancements have made RC flying incredibly easy to learn and has provided a somewhat foolproof, graduated approach to giving you full control over your airplane or helicopter. That is, if you choose to use this function. HobbyZone pioneered a technology called SAFE, which stands for Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope. HobbyZone SAFE is a unique combination of sensors and software that give you three different levels of flight difficulty plus a panic recovery button so you can learn basic flight maneuvers before stepping up to the flight thrills that would probably leave a beginner in a crash and burn scenario. If you get into trouble, simply hit the panic button and the aircraft will return to upright flight!

HobbyZone Champ RTF

With a wingspan measuring 22.4 inches, the Champ will not feel intimidating in the hands of new pilots.

HobbyZone Carbon Cub

In the world of light-sport flying, the Carbon Cub is a legendary aircraft that has earned pilot awards in recent years. The RC version of the Carbon Cub is just as versatile as its real-life counterpart; it is highly responsive and can handle landing in rugged terrain thanks to its durable landing gear equipped with tundra tires. This model features SAFE technology, which means that it is ideal for beginners. GPS and a Landing Assist Sensor can be added for even more support for new pilots.

Hobbyzone Mini Apprentice

This RC airplane will appeal to beginners and experienced pilots alike. The Mini Apprentice is an RTF model designed with three flight modes that can adjust to each pilot’s skill level. The landing gear can be switched from a tricycle to aircraft floats for a water landing. When flying in SAFE mode, the pilot can quickly activate Panic Recovery mode with the touch of a button should they need it.
